Creativity in the Curriculum
Mrs. Butterfield brought in a lot of art in the curriculum. This not only reinforced the concept that learning should involve joy, but that it should encourage exploration and curiosity of different mediums as means of self expression. I feel her love of art and involving the children in it is one of the greatest gifts she gave them. She simultaneously nurtures creativity while weaving in time for play. This approach to school ties together the success students have in other subjects, making them successful in the long run.
Jenia Badova
Jenia Badova is the parent of two former students of Mrs. Butterfield. She spoke very highly of all that Mrs. Butterfield has done for her sons and is extremely proud of the success both have attained. Her eldest son currently is attending the University of Florida and applying for graduate school while the youngest is apart of the International Baccalaureate Program at Fort Myers High School.
