Raising the Bar for All Teachers
We were fortunate enough to have our own two kids be students under Mrs. Butterfield. She is an incredible teacher and has a unique ability to find the best in each child. I always felt certain that regardless of the situation she would find a way to help my children see the strength in themselves and learn from the challenges. The optimism and positivity that she brought with her are moments my children still refer to today when they are faced with obstacles. Mrs. Butterfield was able to bring together children of all different backgrounds and highlight their uniqueness while uniting them through a love of science, culture, and art. The curiosity and optimism my children display root from all that she has taught them. Mrs. Butterfield truly raises the bar high as a teacher and as a person, one so far unmet. Her dedication to her students and her work truly inspires the success in each and every student she taught, exemplified by their reverence and respect for all she does. If we had more teachers like Mrs. Butterfield our education system would be thriving.
Dr. Adriana Loukanova and Dr. Nikola Goranov
Dr. Adriana Loukanova and Dr. Nikola Goranov are practicing physician and dentist, respectively, in Fort Myers, Florida. Both of their children were pupils under Mrs. Butterfield for as long as 9 years. Their son has gone to graduate from the University of Florida and is now attending medical school at Mayo Clinic while their daughter is now attending the University of Florida. All boast about their time with Mrs. Butterfield and attribute the fundamental lessons she taught them to their personal and academic success.
